Graham Nash

   At the Albert Hall with the Johnson J45 Buddy Peggy Sue Got Married

Mick was commissioned by the Buddy Holly Foundation to build several replicas of Buddy’s 1943 J45. The first in the series, named Peggy Sue Got Married, was presented to Allan Clarke of Hollies fame by Graham Nash – pictured – at The Royal Albert Hall Crosby/Nash 2011 concert.

Mick has since completed several other instruments in this very special series for Roger Daltrey of The Who – Oh Boy, Marty Wilde – It Doesn’t Matter Any More, Mike Berry –Tell Me How, Bruce Welch – Crying Waiting, Hoping, and Hank Marvin – You’re The One,Cliff Richard – Early In The Morning, James Burton – Blue Days Black Nights, Joe Brown – Valley Of Tears,  Paul Anka – It Doesn’t Matter Anymore. Marty and Paul both have the guitars It Doesn’t Matter Anymore, the title of a great hit by Buddy and written by Paul.

A dream come true . . .

Mick pictured with two of his all time heroes. These are the guys responsible for legions of guitarists’ love affairs with the instrument, and Mick is truly honoured to have presented them with these very special guitars. Two more in the Buddy Holly series of J45 replicas – Hank’s is You’re The One, and Bruce’s is Cryin’g Waiting, Hoping. A magical moment!


Sir Cliff Richard

Another J45 made for the Legend, Cliff Richard. The guitar was christened Early In TheMorning, another great track recorded by Buddy early in his short career.  Cliff was amazing on the day and was really pleased to receive the guitar, check the photo gallery.

The Legend himself at home. A truly iconic player and performer with multi-instrumental capabilities and a great Rock and Roll pedigree.
