These are the guys responsible for legions of guitarists’ love affairs with the instrument, and Mick is truly honoured to have presented them with these very special guitars. Two more in the Buddy Holly series of J45 replicas – Hank’s is You’re The One, and Bruce’s is Cryin’g Waiting, Hoping. A magical moment!

Another J45 made for the Legend, Cliff Richard. The guitar was christened Early In TheMorning, another great track recorded by Buddy early in his short career. Cliff was amazing on the day and was really pleased to receive the guitar, check the photo gallery.

Sonny ‘Joe’ West
Sonny is an influential american artist with a vast career. A true legend who wrote Rave
On and Oh Boy, hit records for Buddy and the Crickets. He tours and plays to this very day!Sonny is pictured on tour with his Mick Johnson ‘Buddy’ J45.
The guitar fingerboard is expertly inlayed using Mother of Pearl depicting the words BUDDY HOLLY AND THE CRICKETS and the hand made Pete Allen leather cover has ‘RAVE ON’ and ‘OH BOY’ tooled into the upper bout.

Buddy’s Hofner , restored and serviced by Mick prior to it being installed in the Buddy Holly museum,Lubbock Texas.
The guitar was bought by Buddy when he was on tour in the UK and mainly used as a practice guitar on the tourbus.
After the tour Buddy presented the guitar to the tour’s compare, and comedian, the one and only Des O’ Connor.
Des has now given the guitar to TBHEF for its inclusion in the museum in Texas

When Sin Stops
Another spectacular guitar made specifically to Keith:s specs, Dimensions were a hybrid of Keiths favourite Gibson J45 and Martin D28. The black and white tooled leather cover (Pete Allen Leathers), was to pay homage to Keith:s original Waylon Jennings Telecaster.
The guitar was fitted with a Maton undersaddle pickup and modified bridge.
Keith can be seen on YOUTUBE playing the guitar at home.
